A Servant's Heart

Some Thoughts

I know this is long, but it is really good, so you guys should read it! :)

My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?
Why are You so far from my deliverance
and from my words of groaning?
My God, I cry by day, but You do not answer,
by night, yet I have no rest.
But You are holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel.
Our fathers trusted in You;
they trusted, and You rescued them.
They cried to You and were set free;
they trusted in You and were not disgraced.
But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by men and despised by people.
 Everyone who sees me mocks me;
they sneer and shake their heads:

“He relies on the LORD;
let Him rescue him;
let the LORD deliver him,
since He takes pleasure in him.”

 You took me from the womb,
making me secure while at my mother’s breast.
I was given over to You at birth;
You have been my God from my mother’s womb.

 Do not be far from me, because distress is near
and there is no one to help.

 Many bulls surround me;

strong ones of Bashan encircle me.
They open their mouths against me—
lions, mauling and roaring.
I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are disjointed;
my heart is like wax,
melting within me.
My strength is dried up like baked clay;
my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.
You put me into the dust of death.
For dogs have surrounded me;
a gang of evildoers has closed in on me;
they pierced my hands and my feet.

I can count all my bones;

people look and stare at me.
They divided my garments among themselves,
and they cast lots for my clothing.

But You, LORD, don’t be far away.
My strength, come quickly to help me.
Deliver my life from the sword,
my only life[i] from the power of these dogs.
Save me from the mouth of the lion!
You have rescued me
from the horns of the wild oxen.

I will proclaim Your name to my brothers;
I will praise You in the congregation.
You who fear Yahweh, praise Him!
All you descendants of Jacob, honor Him!
All you descendants of Israel, revere Him!
For He has not despised or detested
the torment of the afflicted.
He did not hide His face from him
but listened when he cried to Him for help.

I will give praise in the great congregation
because of You;
I will fulfill my vows
before those who fear You.
The humble will eat and be satisfied;
those who seek the LORD will praise Him.
May your hearts live forever!

All the ends of the earth will remember
and turn to the LORD.
All the families of the nations
will bow down before You,
for kingship belongs to the LORD;
He rules over the nations.
All who prosper on earth will eat and bow down;
all those who go down to the dust
will kneel before Him—
even the one who cannot preserve his life.
Their descendants will serve Him;
the next generation will be told about the Lord.
They will come and tell a people yet to be born
about His righteousness—
what He has done.
-Psalm 22

I really like the part where it talks about the mothers womb and how God is our God from our mother's womb. Recently I have seen a lot of facebook comments about abortion. It's all around us. I don't think it is right, and it saddens me to hear people say that a fetus is like a fungus. I don't hate those people who say that, I just disagree with them. I believe God has a plan for everybody, before they are born.

For it was You who created my inward parts;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You
because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful,
and I know this very well.
My bones were not hidden from You
when I was made in secret,
when I was formed in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw me when I was formless;
all my days were written in Your book and planned
before a single one of them began.
-Psalm 139:13-16

I believe in God, I believe the Bible is His word and it is true. I believe that He has a plan for the fungus, fetus, human life, whatever people call an unborn baby. He has a plan for that child just like He has a plan for the mothers who have a child in them. I have heard all the arguments about how it is better to abort the baby then let it grow up in a horrible home situation, or that a girl got raped and now there is a baby in her, or two people just aren't ready to have a kid. I believe my God is big enough to take care of every situation. He will take care of us. We need to seek Him, and we will find Him.
So those are my thoughts. They are more for those who believe in God, because those who don't won't agree with me, I believe what I believe just like they believe what they believe.

Hands, Formulas, and the Past

Finally after three long months, I have finished ASL, math, and history. I am taking another history class next quarter, but that's ok because I really like that class. ASL was fun to take but there was so much we went over in that class. I am real glad math is over for good though! There were way to many formulas and tests. And most of the time I sat there daydreaming about who-knows-what!

KONY 2012

Please watch this video, and re-post it. It is worth your time.

A Servant's Heart

Right now, I feel like there is a lot of things going on this world that is not good. People are hurting. So, I think it is important to start praying, seeking out God, and then getting out there, and go do what He is sending us to do.
Anyways, here are some verses on prayer.

James 5:13-14
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

 pray without ceasing

James 1:5-6
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

James 4:2
You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.

1 John 5:14-15
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him

A Sunny Day

Yesterday it was super nice and sunny, so I wanted to work on my picture taking skills. My sis wasn't doing anything, so I dragged her outside with me. My personal favorite is the third one down.

Where the Dogs Run

I am super excited about this! Tonight around the crack of moon, I am headed off for Alaska! Yep that place that is even farther north and about 25 degrees! I'm gonna freeze but at least it's not -20 like that one time I was in Montana! That was cold. I'm real excited to go even if there will be snow and I will be cold. I don't like being cold or snow. Anyways, I'm real excited cause Ididarod is happening and I will get to see that and hopefully take some cool pictures!
